Hostess' traditional countryside breakfast
Our breakfast is made from carefully selected ingredients, with love and in our own kitchen. Breakfast is included in the room rate. For others, the rates are € 14 / adult and € 7 / child (3-12 year olds). Children under the age of 3 enjoy free breakfast.
We value local and organic food that we know the origin of. We want to offer genuine, natural flavors. We manufacture all the of the foods ourselves, from the very beginning, from high quality and locally sourced raw materials. We love food, and it is our passion to provide our guests with high quality, clean and genuine flavors, cherishing tradition and naturalness.
Different seasons are reflected in our kitchen. At harvest, we gather vegetables directly from the field, mushrooms and berries from the forest, and use wild herbs during the season. We store some of our summer delights for the winter so we can enjoy them throughout the year! Even our rye bread is baked into 100% organic rye from 100 years ago. The trace of our own hand is visible and tastes in everything. You can eat with us with a clean conscience!
We also indulge those with allergies: all of our products are lactose-free, and our kitchen specializes in delicious and gluten-free delicacies.
We respect nature and use our natural resources ecologically by adapting to the season and our surroundings. In this way we also promote healthiness and authenticity of the flavors: the natural ingredients do not require long journeys or additives. In this way, the products are also guaranteed to be fresh, and in some cases, even directly from the field or from the forest. Vegetables are the most tastiest during the harvest season, as they have been able to grow naturally without artificial aids.
We make use of the land’s offerings to provide our guests with pure food without additives. During the harvest season we have our own vegetable roots, salads and peas; berries and mushrooms from our forests; cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, herbs and even grapes from our greenhouse, as well as our own grapes, sea buckthorns and apples. Of course, during the harvest season, we also preserve jams, juices, mushrooms, jams and vichykur for winter so we can enjoy of them throughout the year.
From our village
We get most of our meats from our own village. Our neighbours Jatkolan tila breeds Limousin cattle. And we get Highland meat from Karisalmi Farm.
The lamb we serve is from Ala-Katteluksen tilalta. Sometimes we use other meat producers, but we also look for them as close as possible. All of the raw materials we use are carefully selected with domestic high quality local production in mind.
From our neighbour
We organize a Christmas market at our country hotel where we sell our famous farm bread, delicious pastries and other foods and crafts. In addition, there are vendors from nearby producers, and other local farms.
